Readiness Begins With MeThe MCL Foundation and the Library have partnered with the Allstate Foundation since 2006 around the theme of Readiness Begins With Me™, initially to establish the first-of-its kind Catastrophe Readiness Clearinghouse, with the mission of empowering individuals, families, and small businesses by providing information that leads to positive action in advance of a catastrophe.
The Allstate Readiness Series broadens the scope of the theme Readiness Begins With Me™, creating a year-long calendar of events focusing on issues such as teen safe driving, financial empowerment for victims of domestic violence and others, as well as catastrophe readiness.
